Toraware no Paruma, also known as Palma the captive, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akiko Higashimura. It was first published in 2017 and has been serialized in the magazine Monthly Flowers.
The story follows Palma, a princess of a small kingdom, who is kidnapped by a neighboring country for political reasons. She is forced to live in a secluded villa where she meets the servants of the house and is constantly monitored by her captors. Over time, she begins to build relationships with her caretakers and starts to question the motives of those who brought her there.
The manga deals with themes of power, freedom, and human connection. It has been praised for its complex characters and emotional depth. As of 2021, the series has been collected into six tankobon volumes.
